This year was such a blessing...I had two families to celebrate Christmas with. It was such a blessing. Before Koob and I got married, we were worried about how to split our Thanksgiving and Christmas between each family...well this year, it worked out well. I took some family photos with my side on Thanksgiving and family photos with Koob's side for Christmas...well let me tell you...both time was sure exhausting...
Here is one of my favs from this Christmas...it was with my MIL with all of her grandbabies. This one cracked me up because little Izzie just couldn't sit down...she's adorable and stole the spot light...enjoy...

Lieu Christmas Portrait
Merry Christmas!!! So, it's that time of year where we get to celebrate our Lord Jesus Christ's birth...and had a ding moment...this is the only season where it's concentrated on love...sure you have valentines but that's not the same as family love...so many type of love... :)
okay, enough...this was my only Christmas session because I was busy doing other projects on the side but with baby Anneliese, what could go wrong. She's so adorable. She has this face that she does quite often and her uncle Koob had put a quote to it: "What happen?"...it's funnier in person...but enjoy...and again...
Merry Christmas...

Mengo & Pana Wedding 12/9/10
Mengo & Pana
My cousin Meng and I grew up in the same house for a good couple of our childhood years. They later on went and moved up to north cal. His nick name was Mengo and every now and than I still find myself calling him Mengo. Give and take a couple of years, here we are at his wedding. Let’s rewind for a bit. My auntie and her family has gone thru so much these last couple of months and yet my aunt still praises and has kept her faith in Jesus...she’s never stopped praying for any of her kids and herself. I really do admire all that my auntie has done and will do. I guess you can say, her kids are great because she’s great. Mengo has also gone through a lot, but, he’s come out stronger. Here he is, marrying a pretty lady (& she’s really really nice) and now they’re expecting.
They had the whole Hmong hoopla a couple of months ago, and had just had their official Hmong wedding this past weekend. My new sis-n-law (she’s my sis-n-law via Hmong culture) Pana didn’t even ask me to take photos for her. I knew I was bringing my camera with me anyways and so I just butted in and said I’ll be officially taking photos. It was a beautiful day and very emotional too. Mengo, love you buddy. Pana, welcome to the family. Can’t wait to meet the little one soon. Here are some of my favs…

2011 black and white photos & maybe sephia photos
So yesterday, my co-worker which also is a fanatic about photography, had put a thick book on my desk. One line stuck out: Let's put black & white back into black & white. I was like, wait a minute, wait a minute...i got it...
This book contained nothing but black and white photos...oh my goose...those images were so awesome. I was feeling so inspired...
Some of the photos were so simple but yet so complex...IT WAS AWESOME...one of my favorite was of a chubby chick...I'm chubby too so maybe that's why I liked it...but anyways...it was of a chubby chick who was butt naked...but she was sitting on a plastic crate and ....oh wait...i can't explain it...okay...let's go at it again...
you know when you've been sitting down on a worn out leather couch...when you get up...your butt indention is there...well...this chubby lady had been sitting butt naked on one of those plastic crates and when she got up, her butt had the crate mark on her butt...
okay, this is why there's the saying: a photo is worth a thousand words...whatever...if i find it...I'll post it...but it was hilarious....
SO anyways, going on, I think for my challenge, I'm going to attempt it in nothing but black and whites...maybe add some sepia's...what do you think? can't wait...but kind of nervous for this challenge as well...wish me luck and lots of prayers please...

365 photo project starting January 2011
So, I found this idea from another photographer and I was like: Ding...great project...it'll help me be innovative and force me out of my comfort zone. It'll force me to get to know more about my camera and so forth...so this is the deal, and hopefully I keep to it...I'll take at the least 5 photos a day and post up my favorite one...It can vary, whether it be landscape, my favorite model, and so forth...Jan 2011...no more of: I'm going to try and lose weight...or stop watching so much musicals...
okay...I'm done...= )
